The Album3D demo is now available on Steam, offering a hands-on look at organizing and viewing photo albums as explorable 3D spaces.
The Album3D demo is now available on Steam, giving you a first hands-on look at a different way to experience photo albums.
Album3D turns image collections into explorable 3D spaces. Instead of scrolling through a flat grid, you can move through photos spatially, switch layouts, and let slideshows or flythroughs present an album for you.
Why view photos in 3D?
Traditional galleries are efficient, but they can make large collections feel repetitive. Album3D is designed for a more memorable viewing experience: one where distance, layout, motion, and presentation become part of the album.
What the demo shows
- Game-like navigation through photo collections.
- Multiple 3D layouts for presenting albums.
- Manual exploration, slideshow mode, and automated flythroughs.
- Progressive detail for smooth movement through many images.
- Viewing and quality options for different systems.
Part of the Universe3D family
Album3D is built on Universe3D, the technology behind our game-like photo experiences. The same foundation also powers PlanetMars3D: Spirit Mission, which applies the idea to curated Mars rover imagery.
